Ingredients
bananas, mashed
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1/3 cup Longo’s Vegetable Oil
1/3 cup Longo’s Sour Cream, room temperature
2 Longo’s Enriched Coop Large Eggs, room temperature
1 tsp vanilla
Directions
Grease a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan and set aside.
Stir together bananas, sugar, oil, sour cream, eggs and vanilla in large bowl until well blended. Stir together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt in another large bowl.
Pour banana mixture over flour mixture and stir until well blended and no streaks of flour remain. Stir in chocolate chips or nuts, if using. Scrape mixture into prepared pan. Arrange banana halves over batter.
Bake in centre of preheated 325°F oven for 60 to 70 minutes or until the surface springs back lightly when pressed. Cool in pan on rack for 20 minutes before removing from loaf pan.
