Ingredients

1 pkg (454g) Longo's Mild Italian Pork Sausage Meat

1 can (398mL) Longo’s Organic Black Beans, drained and rinsed

1 cup Longo’s Medium Salsa, divided

2 cups shredded Longo's Grass Fed Colby Cheese with Hot Peppers, divided

1 pkg (700g) Longo's Traditional or Whole Wheat Pizza Dough

Directions

Heat 2 tbsp Longo’s Extra Virgin Olive Oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sausage meat and black beans; cook, breaking up sausage meat with spoon, for about 8 minutes or until no longer pink. Stir in 1/2 cup of the salsa and remove from heat.Stir in 1 1/2 cups of the cheese; set aside.Cut dough into 4 equal pieces. Roll out each piece of dough on floured work surface into about an 8-inch round. Divide filling among each dough on one half. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup cheese overtop. Fold over dough and pinch edge to seal. Place on baking sheet lined with Longo’s Essentials Parchment Paper.Brush calzones with 1 tbsp Longo’s Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Bake in preheated 400°F oven for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.Serve with remaining salsa.
